To AIG: regarding the 165mil bonus payout…

March 20, 2009

Dear AIG,

In light of your recent bonus payout whereby you have justified your deplorable actions by saying you handed out said bonuses because you made promises that couldn’t be broken.  I would like to know since when did you think it was so important to keep promises? That being said there is something that you should know in your quest to justify your actions. This little bit of wisdom I want to share with you was written by the ancient prophet Jeremiah. The message is still good. Apply it to yourselves:

“You cut and hurt a lot of people to get where you are.
And yet you have the gall to say, ‘I’ve done nothing wrong.
   God doesn’t mind. He hasn’t punished me, has he?’
Don’t look now, but judgment’s on the way,
   aimed at you who say, ‘I’ve done nothing wrong.’ “

There is a time for everything!

March 19, 2009

   There is a time for everything,
       and everything on earth has its special season.
   There is a time to be born
       and a time to die.
   There is a time to plant
       and a time to pull up plants.
   There is a time to kill
       and a time to heal.
   There is a time to destroy
       and a time to build.
   There is a time to cry
       and a time to laugh.
   There is a time to be sad
       and a time to dance.
   There is a time to throw away stones
       and a time to gather them.
   There is a time to hug
       and a time not to hug.
   There is a time to look for something
       and a time to stop looking for it.
   There is a time to keep things
       and a time to throw things away.
   There is a time to tear apart
       and a time to sew together.
   There is a time to be silent
       and a time to speak.
   There is a time to love
       and a time to hate.
   There is a time for war
       and a time for peace

Gold

December 12, 2008

 The teachings of Jesus are perfect;
       they give new strength.
 The rules of Jesus can be trusted;
       they make plain people wise.
 The orders of Jesus are right;
       they make people happy.
 The commands of Jesus are pure;
       they light up the way.
 Respect for Jesus is good;
       it will last forever.
The judgments of Jesus are true;
       they are completely right.
They are worth more than gold,
       even the purest gold.
They are sweeter than honey,
       even the finest honey.
By them your servant is warned.
       Keeping them brings great reward.

People cannot see their own mistakes.
       Forgive me for my secret sins.
Keep me from the sins of pride;
       don’t let them rule me.
Then I can be pure
       and innocent of the greatest of sins.

I hope my words and thoughts please you.
       Jesus, you are my Rock, the one who saves me.
