The Day is coming…..!

August 30, 2009

“For behold, the day is coming,
Burning like an oven,

And all the proud, yes, all who do wickedly will be stubble.
And the day which is coming shall burn them up,” Says the LORD of hosts,
“ That will leave them neither root nor branch.

But to you who fear My name
The Sun of Righteousness shall arise
With healing in His wings;
And you shall go out
And grow fat like stall-fed calves.
You shall trample the wicked,
For they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet

On the day that I do this,
Says the LORD of hosts.

“ Remember the Law of Moses, My servant,
Which I commanded him in Horeb for all Israel,
With the statutes and judgments.

Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet
Before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD.
And he will turn
The hearts of the fathers to the children,
And the hearts of the children to their fathers,
Lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.”

  1. I just wanted to thank you for visiting my blog and to respond to your comment on the 7th day. You stated that God rested on the Sabbath and therefore you will. It’s nice to do that but it is not a part of the age of Grace. We are to follow Jesus and He didn’t rest on the Sabbath. You know you would be breaking the law to go to church on Sat. You couldn’t walk very far and driving would not be allowed. As for me I keep every day holy and worship the Lord daily. Here’s my reply;

    The Sabbath Rest of Hebrews 4

    Genesis 2: 3: “God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it; because in it He had rested from all His work which God created and made,” but this written by Moses is not a command for man to observe this day and enter into his rest. Genesis was written by Moses for the Jewish people after the giving of the Law, we can understand why he included this explanation. He was explaining to them the significance of the Law that he had laid down for the nation of Israel. Speaking of the Sabbath; God declared: “It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel for ever; for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed” (Exod. 31: 17). We are not Israel. We are the blood bought church the redeemed. Our sabbath is in Jesus Christ. That is where our rest is. Doylene
